Greetings From the East

Hello

Sisters & Brothers

I’m delighted to be addressing you from the East again.  I thank everyone for the confidence that you have placed in me, by allowing me to serve Mystic Chapter for a second term as WM.  Mystic Chapter is truly a wonderful place to be.  I want to congratulate Sister Mikki Zumbo, Sister Margaret Mansfield, and Brother Richard Meeghan on their offices.  Sister Mikki is our Associate Conductress, while Sister Margaret and Brother Richard are first time appointed officers.  In fact Richard is a brand new member, having been initiated this past Feb. 28.  I would like to congratulate Sister Lynn Wakefield on her election as Associate Grand Conductress of CT.  We are very proud of Sister Lynn and will be here to help her every step of the way.  I want to thank Sister Arline Morgan for many, many fine years as Treasurer of our Chapter.  Sister Arline has decided to sit on the sidelines for a well-deserved break.  She will be around to assist and offer advice as much as possible.  I’m happy to tell you that Tom, Sister Libby Mahon’s husband, is doing well after his knee surgery.  While Tom is not a member of our Star he is one of Mystic’s greatest supporters.  He is always ready to give us a helping hand.  Recently I was approached by Sister Sharon Peterson Jr past WGM.  It was at Rainbow’s Grand Assembly and Sister Sharon presented me with a Grand Representative Appointment, to the Grand Chapter of Iowa near the Grand Chapter of Connecticut.  I hope I can make Mystic and the Grand Chapter proud during the next 2 years.  I will not be attending Iowa’s Grand Session this year due to school commitments but it is on the calendar for October of 2004.  On March 28th, 2003 Mystic had its Installation of officers.  It was wonderful!  Sister Linda Ruff PM, Sister Nancy Barr PGM, Sister Arline Morgan PGM, Brother Roger Larson PGP, and Brother Fred Chidester PP all participated in the ceremony.  My fun mascot is the Dachshund, color Red, honor station is Chaplin, flower is the yellow rose, and quote is: Smile…it’s contagious!  I hope to have a fun year with Brother Ken in the East.

In Star Love,

Mrs. Holly L. Cole

Worthy Matron

To the members of mystic chapter, I would like to thank you for your support in being your Patron for the year 2003-2004.  I have found a family in mystic chapter and I can see that we are going to have a fun year.  With the help of all members, I am running a fundraiser for the chapter for the month of June. On the 28th, a Saturday, we are going to have a tag sale at the home of Linda Bunnell, 461 Forest Rd., in Northford.  The location is right on Route 22. I would appreciate your support with any donations and help, we will be discussing this project at the next meeting.

Proud Masonic Parent and Husband

I just wanted to use this forum to share some glad tidings with the members of Mystic.  On March 29th at Connecticut’s Grand Assembly International Order of Rainbow for Girls the Worthy Grand Matron, Sharon Peterson appointed my wife Holly Cole Grand Representative to the Grand Chapter of Iowa near the Grand Chapter of Connecticut.  This was indeed and honor and a surprise to us.  To continue our good news, at the banquet just a few hours later, it was announced that our daughter Anastasia Hubbell was awarded a scholarship from Connecticut Rainbow.  If I ended at this point, I would still be going around proud as ever, but the very next day it was announced that Anastasia was appointed into Rainbow’s Grand Line as Grand Faith for the State of Connecticut.  Later we also received word that she had received the Knights Templer scholarship.
